Our leadership team is one of a kind. Through their hard work and the support from our Board and team members, The Woodlands at Furman has quickly become the premier non-profit Life Care Community in the Greenville area and the Upstate. For several years running, The Woodlands has won Best of the Upstate in multiple categories.

Best of all, The Woodlands is catching the attention of future residents throughout the East Coast, and we are well on our way to becoming the most sought-after, not-for-profit Life Plan Community in South Carolina. So, with that in mind, we present to you brief biographies of the leaders who make this community what it is today and what their vision is for its future.

Rick Brackett
President and Chief Executive Officer

Rick Brackett is President and CEO, bringing 20+ years of hospitality experience and more than a decade of leadership within the community. He has helped shape a hospitality-first model that enhances resident life and team culture. Rick is focused on leadership development, operational excellence, and creating a purpose-driven retirement community connected to Furman University. He believes that residents should be empowered to author their own lives.

Bill Falls
Chief Financial Officer

Bill Falls serves as Chief Financial Officer of The Woodlands, overseeing financial strategy, planning, compliance, and risk management. As a CPA, he began his career at Ernst & Young and later held senior financial leadership roles in energy, infrastructure, and real estate for over 23 years. Bill values the community-focused mission of The Woodlands and enjoys building relationships with residents. Outside work, he enjoys golfing and traveling with his family.

Chief Administrative Officer

Deborah Sepulveda, Chief Administrative Officer, was drawn to The Woodlands because of its strong mission, commitment to residents. With a background in leadership, process improvement, and organizational strategy, she is passionate about building strong teams, creating efficient systems, and fostering a culture centered on service and compassion. She enjoys music, community involvement, and creative projects.

Chris Pagliaro
Chris Pagliaro
VP, Health and Wellness Services

Chris Pagliaro oversees healthcare operations, including Assisted Living, Memory Support, Skilled Nursing, and In-Home Care. A Furman University graduate with a law degree from the University of South Carolina, Chris transitioned to healthcare in 2019 and has completed LeadingAge leadership academies at the state and national levels. Inspired by his grandparents, he is passionate about improving older adults' lives through compassionate care.
