Vaccine Update

We vaccinated 168 residents and staff members with the second dose of the Moderna vaccine on Tuesday.  I (Mary Lou) called four of our residents who had the second dose to check on them the day after the clinic.  Two of those I called are 97, 92 and 88.  All reported they were “feeling great”.  After I heard from them I felt pretty wimpy complaining of the slight headache and chills I experienced after my second shot!

Our next vaccine clinic will be held on Friday, February 5 in the Community Village.  The clinic is primarily for those who took their first shots on January 8.  Ten days after the majority of us have had our second shots, we plan to re-open socially distanced congregate dining and increase the number of participants allowed in exercise classes and Lifestyle programming.
